HyperSense xTalk for NeXT / OpenSTEP

Post by OpenXTalkPaul »

While doing research for the a SH*T-TON of writing I've been doing (for OXT IDE Release Notes and Start Center), I stumbled onto this archive site that has loads of software for NeXT / OpenSTEP platform, including HyperSense, an xTalk for NeXT:
http://www.nextcomputers.org/NeXTfiles/ ... ense/Apps/

This software actually still exists in the form of EggPlant ( https://www.eggplantsoftware.com ) a testing automation suite, and it still retains it's xTalk script implementation named SenseTalk to this day.

The big Q has to be; "How would you be able to 'take that for a spin' today without installing NextStep on a bit of hardware (erm, PPC ?)
that would let it function?

"This is a triple-fat version of Thoughtful Software's multi-purpose HyperSense authoring system (for NeXT, Intel, and HP PA-RISC architectures)."

Um?

Um?
Via the NeXT emulator called "Previous" of course! Previous previously ran OK on my Mac laptop, although it was a bit sluggish it was. still usable enough to check out some NeXT.

Or maybe run intel 32bit OpenStep in a VM or using QEMU?

OK

"For running Previous you need a copy of the NeXT ROM."

Possible snag.
