Hey guys, just want to let you guys know I'm feeling angry, nihilistic, and disgusted with people, specially on this particular day, it might take me a while to get back to a mood where I care about trying to 'make xTalk great again'. I don't know how long it will last, hopefully not the whole four years.

For a second, I thought "hope I've not offended someone", but then I realised what this is.
Yes, and I feel sorry for Americans at the moment. This will have global repercussions too, and everyone will be waiting to see what toys are being thrown out of the pram next on social media.

I thought our government are sh1t, with their changes to UK law without any public consultation and stealth tax hikes, but I genuinely worry about what the next 4 years have in store for everyone now.

Well, the first thing to do is make sure the politics of hate don't affect your personal attitude towards normal, decent people.

Over here, in Bulgaria, they have had sh1tty, bent governments for years, and that is foul: but good people somehow manage to rise above it all.

I get it. I'm right there with you. Still, I think richmond did speak some words of common humanity there.

Over on Facebook, I've mentioned Carlin. Specifically, 'the average person being 50% smart/intelligent, and half of them are dumber than that!' I left the paraphrased quote out over there.

... my bad, generally I'd keep politics on something else, but... prepare for a regression of the United States by the election of a convicted-felon President (as of the time of this writing...)

The first time I could forgive the 'regular people' (not the ones literally chanting NAZI slogans in 2017, to which Trump said 'good people on both sides'), the second time after having broken his oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution and the blatant disregard for that core thing alone (not that that's the only thing by a long shot), is not as easy for me to do. I'm worried this great experiment might not make it to the 250th yr mark.
It's already destroyed personal / family relationships all across this country. But personally I'll likely be just fine, lots of people live their lives just fine under the rule of kleptocracy and authoritarian dictatorships and such.
