Cognitive Therapy

Draw your own conclusions:

Whatever, I did have a feeling I heard almost all of this in
a Psychology department lecture at the university of Durham in 1984.

I did see these a while back when I was making my own YouTube Channel (mostly for LiveCode stuff I was working on)

I really don't want to draw much conclusions from that, seems too personal.
Everyone's got their problems. I certainly do!
Until recently LC had been a positive distraction from those problems for me. (I guess that's cognitive therapy)
I'm trying to keep that going with OpenXTalk!

That and I've always loved xTalk languages and would love to see it be the open standard it should've been, before I take a permanent dirt nap.

It seems odd to me that a CEO of a company should choose to expose
himself in such a way . . . personally I sort out my problems with my wife and my cat,
or a long walk on the hills. 8-)

last video talking about:
“should”, “must”, “ought to”

Reminds me of my dad, he would say one or two liner... uh "therapy" things like "Ahhh woulda shoulda coulda ya can't live in the past!", basically summarizing stuff like this in layman's terms. Saves a lot of time!

It's solid advice, I try to guide distraught, and/or easily distressed people in that direct as well, often with a lot of screaming and hairpulling by other people who seem to live for being desperately upset.

I don't think you should be using these forums to attack the old corporate overlords.

This.

Whether it is "for fun", or whatever, bringing individual personalities into it here, to comment on or marvel over is unnecessary.

I agree, let's keep this fun, warm and welcoming, and avoid personal attacks if at all possible!

There's a lot of animosity going around right now, and I don't want this forum to contribute to that in any way.
I want to assume that everyone here is here because they have a love for xTalk language(s).
I'm not even looking at the use-list now because I don't want to get irritated by individual opinions.

For the record, if I was a CEO, I wouldn't be on YouTube talking about mental health issues, but I'm not a CEO, that was his decision and I'm sure he has his reasons. I have lots of opinions about this latest decision and the way it was executed, but my opinions aren't going to reverse those decisions, and I've already had a chance to air those opinions (I saved that "Goodbye" topic as huge PDF, btw). So what is done is done. Let's move forward here.
