And so, having bought a 1 GB RAM podule [yeah, I know, have to love really OT terms like 'podule' stolen
by me from its use with RISC OS computers: the computers and software where they were so unbelievably
bloody-minded they cooked up 'different' terms for everything: mind you, should give Steve Jobs' ghost a
run for its money] for my G4 Mac Mini, intend to install Sorbet Leopard there to make it a slightly more
usable heap of crap than it was previously.
And . . . Sorbet Leopard . . . https://apple.fandom.com/wiki/Sorbet_Leopard . . . is like a sort of Super Viagra for Mac PPC machines.
Now, the IDE we know, love and despair of [that's LiveCode to those who have joined us after the commercial break] will only work on
Mac PPC machines at version 6-point-something, which is:
1. Pre proper Unicode implementation [possibly the ONLY real advance since the series 6 releases: but I'm biased.]
2. Pre proper handling of GIF and PNG images.
3. Pre SVG image import.
My "cream-your-jeans" fantasy is a release of OXT that will run on PPC Macs.

Re: Ice cream soda.
Wow: Krishna of a bike: I just found the receipt for the G4 Mac Mini and it was about £600 [about $735 US], which
is, for me at least, a frightening investment for something that has been sitting around winking at me for
the better part of 12 years: so the outlay of $25 for the RAM podule to bring it back to life is well worth it.

Re: Ice cream soda.
A Huge Great Humph: Carbon Copy Cloner 3.4.7 kept crashing when it should have been cloning
the DMG of Sorbet Leopard to the partition prepped for the thing . . .
So . . . now installing MacOS 10.4.11 onto the whole, whopping great 40 GB hard drive and then going to install the
Shuriken mods to get MacOS '10.4.12', which, if one is to believe the hype, is even jazzier than '10.5.9' and will
allow me to go on faffing around with HyperCard and MetaCard:

So MacOS '10.4.12' running LC 6.5.2 with its singular lack of an icon in the dock.
