So, there I am writing off 32 bit and 64 bit standalones for Linux on MacOS 10.7.5 with LC 8.1.10
and, having set the executable bit on Linux, they refuse to run.
Had to run off standalones using 8.2.0 dp2: then worked.
For "some funny reason" LC have not made 8.2.0 dp2 installers available.

Re: Building standalones for Linux
I have just located the 8.2.0-dp2 installer for Macintosh on a work computer, have bunged it on a Flash drive,
and will upload it somewhere [?] when I get home tonight: it runs at 458 MB.
Aah: https://archive.org/download/live-code- ... %2032-Bit/

Re: Building standalones for Linux
Can anyone tell me how to upload the Mac version of 8.0.2 dp1 to the archives?

Ask Seth, pretty sure he uploaded those to archive, I'm guessing he could add that to the existing collection.richmond62 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 12, 2021 5:17 pm Can anyone tell me how to upload the Mac version of 8.0.2 dp1 to the archives?

Re: Building standalones for Linux
Seth is obviously busy: after a lot of digging through the vast amounts of utter nonsense on my
main computer I eventually foudn how to upload to his repository again, so the LC Community 8.2.0 -dp2 Mac thing is
on its way [says "11 minutes" at the moment], and I hope he will find the time to transfer that to the archive.
As far as I am aware it is the last version to run on MacOS 10.7.5.
Linux 32-bit builds generated with this work on Xubuntu 18.04.X [last *Ubuntu version that is 32-bit].
Linux 64-bit builds generated with this work on Xubuntu 21.10 [Latest and greatest].

Those things certainly make this build worth preserving, IMOrichmond62 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 6:02 pm Seth is obviously busy: after a lot of digging through the vast amounts of utter nonsense on my
