I know some of you guys enjoy the retro stuff like me so I thought I'd post a link to this app that I got a kick out of.
This app makes ChatGPT and DALL-E AIs usable from classic Macs, all the way back to Macs with Motorola 68020 CPUs + Sys 7 up to Intel Macs on OS X 10.11 (El Captain):

Not sure where I can get the SpeechLib from - probably part of carbonlib I assume?

In OSX 10.6, it works - and gives me a predicable answer.

I can't check at the moment, but think it may have been separate from Carbon. MacOS had text to speech very early on (System 6 & 7, 68k), but SpeechLib may have been for a later version of the Speech Manager, or maybe it was a component of these "Game Sprockets' libraries (
https://macintoshgarden.org/apps/gamesprockets-175). I know there was Text To Speech installers released with the OS discs. separate installers from the OS installer, so maybe find on the Macintosh Garden.
I doubt it's this one:

Very early Mac TTS:

This on maybe:
