Also included is a HyperCard dissolver which aids in the conversion between HyperCard and HyperStudio.
That looks like an interesting piece of kit.

But, have not managed to locate it yet.

I also found opening Hypercard stacks in old versions of Revolution 1.0 (Under MacOS 9), then saving as rev stacks.
Then renaming these .rev stacks to .oxtstack works well.

Ah, About This Particular Mac, that takes me back, might have been the first eZine that I DL'd regularly back in the '90s! It was before any of the current eBook standard formats existed, PDF was still new, this thing was an App (I think it was 'DocMaker' standalone? sound right)

Yes, I found that any version newer than LC Community 6.5.2 on Snow Leopard, would crash trying to import HyperCard stacks, LC fairly recently listed that crashing as fixed, post-FOSS separation so I can't speak to that. I don't know if they only fixed the crashing or did they fix importing too?

stackimport command line tool can be useful, that converts stacks to JSON, PNG files and also can extract sound, pict, and icon resources. https://github.com/uliwitness/stackimport
