The blue 'tiles' are widgets . . .

I do find that layout and aesthetic quite attractive and wonder about OpenXTalk's

That mockup reminds me a bit of "Recent Cards" from HyperCard.

I planing on going in the direction of making the "Start Center" more optional, off, default, or select... stack
In fact I'm going to work on that tonight.

Same with that toolbar thing that lives under the menubar (which already has some options to it)
