Re: Exporting to image
I wonder what the reason for that was . . . as just now . . . this worked:

Re: Exporting to image
Just seen this post, depends on where your defaultfolder is set to point to.
If I don't specify a full path in my export (on the left) it fails. If I specify a full file path, then it exports no problem.

I did NOT specify a folder with my Sheriff of Nottingham, and the image ended up inside the Mac App folder as I expected it to; but Asterix and Obelix vanished (maybe Obelix was too fat to get in there . . .).

Haha, perhaps. Middle-age spread. It would be worth trying a:
after OXT starts up, or when you can't export an image - just to see what it's set to.
If it's set to a non-writable location, it'll fail.
Code: Select all
put the defaultfolder
If it's set to a non-writable location, it'll fail.

Re: Exporting to image
That makes no sense as I have had the OXT Lite IDE open continuously between those 2 attempts.

Re: Exporting to image
Okay, but anything can modify the defaultfolder. For example, if you opened the dictionary stack, it might have set the defaultfolder to the location of it's text files to get a file list. That's non writable, so that might cause it to fail. There's also other bits of the IDE that constantly modify the defaultfolder - revIDELibrary, the behavior scripts, all it would take is one of those not to set the defaultfolder back to whatever it was.
This is why I either always set the defaultfolder to specialfolderpath("Desktop") or give the full file path. Up to you, but worth a try if it happens again.

You have got to love things when computers show signs of sentience and thinking for themselves.Okay, but anything can modify the defaultfolder.
